HUNTR/X just proved that even animated stars can slay the music world.

The virtual K-pop trio, Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, voiced by EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and REI AMI has successfully notched Grammy nominations for Song of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

Notably, marking the first time a fictional K-pop group has earned the honour.

“We’re very, very grateful to be part of a historic moment,” Audrey Nuna told Billboard.

The hype doesn’t stop at the Grammys as KPop Demon Hunters, the Netflix movie behind HUNTR/X, has smashed streaming records, overtaking Squid Game as the platform’s most-watched original.

After a singalong theatrical release, it even hit No. 1 at the box office that is a rare feat for a streaming flick.

Moreover, Golden, the movie’s breakout track, ruled the Billboard Hot 100 for eight weeks and topped the Global 200 for 18.

Four songs from the film charted simultaneously in the Hot 100 top 10 including hits from the fictional boy band, Saja Boys.

HUNTR/X even appeared on SNL and performed in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade.

KPop Demon Hunters is clearly dominating 2025, with hits from F1: The Movie, Sinners, and Wicked: For Good proving that cinematic soundtracks can shape pop culture like never before.
