Netflix hit period drama Bridgerton is a month away from dropping its season 4.
However, ahead of the release of the fourth season, the show has landed in trouble with fans.
The season 4 will feature the story of Benedict and his love interest Sophie Beckett.
On Sunday, the show’s official social media shared the update on Colin Bridgerton and Penelope, also known as Lady Whistledown’s son’s arrival who will be the Featherington heir.
The post read “The new Lord Featherington has arrived. Welcome to the world, Elliot Bridgerton!”
The post left many fuming as many questioned the show to be “white-centric” for not giving updates on Daphne and Simon’s babies or Anthony and Kate’s son.
A fan wrote “The only kid to get an announcement…sounds about white for this show”.
Another wrote “Interesting how ya'll do this for the white baby but not any of the mixed babies in the show.”
The next season is highly anticipated as fans are curious to see how the new couple’s story will roll out and if there will be any plot line for the previous couples.
Benedict Bridgerton is the second eldest sibling whose story is based on the Julia Quinn novel An Offer From a Gentleman.
The first part of season 4 will drop on January 29, 2026 followed by the part two releasing on February 26, 2026.
