Brad Pitt has been going viral on social media for the prospect of being featured in The Batman Part 2, and outlets confirm if he is or is not set to appear in the sequel.
The prequel, which will star Robert Pattinson as Batman, Colin Farrell, Jeffrey Wright, Andy Serkis along with Scarlett Johansson was rumoured to also contain the F1 actor.
In a recent report, The Hollywood Reporter disclosed, “This one has been in the ether for months, and we looked into it. Sadly, sources close to the production say no, Pitt will not be in the movie, which we are told is now aiming to shoot in May.”
Before the speculation was debunked, fans theorised that Brad would take on one of the more sinister roles such as Dr. Arkham or the fan-favourite, The Joker.
Internet users had also expressed their excitement, writing remarks like, “It's going to be the best Batman movie in the world,” and “With just how he is, he can KILL the role. Let's go.”
Notably, many were hailing the director of the film, Matt Reeves for the casting choices before the rumour was proven false.
Yes, the release date for the sequel is set for October 1, 2027, and filming is set to begin next year.
