Billie Eilish's 'Hit Me Hard and Soft': first trailer touches hearts

Paramount has released the first teaser from the concert film, Hit Me Hard and Soft.

The film, opening March 20, 2026, has been remarked as “an innovative new concert experience” live in 3D captures Eilish’s ecstatic moments from the recent global tour.

The first clip from the documentary shows Eilish's voice trembling, an enchanting giggle leaving fans with bittersweet emotions.

In the trailer, Cameron says, “No one has ever shot a concert film on this scale before,” pointing to the massive effort and tech put into the production.

The footage shows him asking the 23-year-old about the emotional weight she carried during her journey, hinting at the depth of the typical tour documentary.

The forthcoming is co-directed by Billie Eilish and James Cameron, produced by Lightstorm Entertainment, Darkroom Records, and Interscope Films.

The release marks Eilish’s biggest theatrical push yet; previously, the concert film Live at the O2 (2023) was not widely available.

Notably, this time the songstress aims for IMAX, large formats, and a wide release, giving tough competition to the ratings of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour film.

Paramount's last major entry was 2011’s Justin Bieber: Never Say Never, which opened to $29.5M and finished with $73M domestic and nearly $100M worldwide.

It is pertinent to mention that Hit Me Hard and Soft, the third studio album, has been nominated for seven Grammy awards, including Album of the Year and Record of the Year.

Additionally, the star will celebrate her 24th birthday on December 18.
