SZA is joining the list of fellow musicians that have cleared up their stance around The White House using their voice to promote their agendas.
The Trump administration has consistently been using artists such as Sabrina Carpenter’s music alongside clips of ICE officials detaining people, as part of the infamous raids against ‘illegal immigrants.’
Recently, the official account which previously invoked the fury of the Espresso hit maker used the Kill Bill hit maker’s famous audio.
The clip which originated from the Saturday Night Live skit 'Big Boys' and later blew up on social media with the main line being “It’s cuffing season,” was used out of context by The White House.
In response, SZA wrote on her X, “White House rage baiting artists for free promo is PEAK DARK ..inhumanity +shock and aw tactics ..Evil n Boring,” echoing the remarks Sabrina had made earlier.
The response was made to Terrence "Punch" Henderson from To Dawg Entertainment, the team which manages the Saturn singer.
“Trying to provoke artist to respond in order to help spread propaganda and political agendas is nasty business. Knock it off,” Punch wrote on his platform.
Notably, the White House previously doubled down on the use of Sabrina’s voice after she denounced their use of her sounds.
