Prince Harry eyes Jennifer Lopez as his battle with Prince William intensifies

Prince Harry is reportedly eager to secure a high-profile collaboration with superstar Jennifer Lopez, as his long-running quiet competition with Prince William steps into a new gear.

According to insiders, the Duke of Sussex is hoping to bring Lopez to a future Invictus Games event which would be a huge win for the international competition he founded in 2014 to support wounded and recovering military personnel.

A source told Star Magazine: "If [Harry] can land her [Lopez] to make an appearance at an Invictus event, it would be phenomenal for the charity and a thrill for him too. He’s reaching out to everyone that he’s got a connection to; it’s not just Lopez that he’s trying to lure in."

"No doubt she’s the most thrilling prospect for him because he’s very starstruck by her," the insider added. "[Harry] is very competitive, so seeing his elder brother Prince William reel in all these big names for his charity, has lit a fire under him."

The timing is notable, as William’s Earthshot Prize has attracted major figures including Hannah Waddingham, Cate Blanchett, and most recently pop icon Kylie Minogue, who posed with William on the green carpet at the 2025 Earthshot Awards in Rio de Janeiro.

William’s growing roster of celebrity allies has reportedly only intensified Harry’s desire to bring in names of a similar calibre.

This wouldn’t be Harry’s first encounter with the superstar singer.

The couple reportedly went on a double date with Lopez and then-fiancé Alex Rodriguez back in early 2020.

According to Star Magazine, Harry has not forgotten the encounter, and sees an opportunity to rekindle the connection for a major global moment.

The next edition of the Invictus Games will take place in Birmingham in 2027, beating out Washington, DC and several global contenders.
