Prince Harry just secured a surprising wave of public support as a bombshell new poll reveals Brits are siding with him over his fight for UK security protections.

The Duke of Sussex, 41, has long argued that it’s unsafe for Meghan Markle and their children, Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four, to return to his home country without proper police protection.

While Harry has made several solo visits, most recently in September, Meghan and the children haven’t stepped foot in the UK since 2022. But now, the British public appears to be shifting in his favour.

A new YouGov survey of 8,022 adults shows that a significant portion of the public believes Harry should have access to police protection when visiting the UK.

According to the data: Seventeen percent say Harry should receive state-funded police protection, while 39 percent believe he should receive police protection if he personally funds it.

Meanwhile, 25 percent tthink he should receive no protection at all, and 16 percent say they’re unsure.

Harry’s battle with the system has been ongoing since RAVEC downgraded his security in 2020 after he stepped back as a senior working royal.

His fury over the decision has been well-documented, culminating in his failed High Court appeal in May 2025.
