Greta Gerwig’s upcoming move, Narnia: The Magician's Nephew, is already being tied to some hefty compliments, which is heightening anticipation around the fantasy film.
The Barbie director is working on her adaptation of the The Chronicles of Narnia, and the collaborators of the project are hailing it as phenomenal.
At IMAX’s first-ever Investors Day in New York, the chief Rich Gelfond stated that Greta’s movie will “change the world” and “create a cultural event.”
“This is not your mother’s or your grandmother’s Narnia… The music in it is unbelievably contemporary music, which IMAX fans like,” he added.
Meanwhile the music has also earned a comment from Songwriter Andrew Wyatt who is working alongside Mark Ronson for the soundtrack of the new Narnia film.
In a statement to People, Andrew said that he “can’t really speak too much about it because it's [in the] very, very early days,” but added, “I think a lot of people are going to be happy, I think people are going to really dig it.”
The I’m Just Ken co-writer also dished that Greta is doing the story in her own way and that it is going to be different from previous adaptations.
Yes, Margot invited Greta to write Barbie, which the director revealed feeling terrified for.
