However, now the Tony Award winner is back with a bang as she is working on the movie, Sunny, directed by Eva Sørhaug.
The movie that is set to hit cinemas in the end of the year 2026 or early 2027 is a dark, character-driven thriller.
The story follows as Sunny, who is a fierce woman, goes on a journey to protect her sons and escape from a mafia gang member.
As per the producer, Mark Fasano, the audience will be shocked once they see the humanitarian and gave her the title of "a tour-de-force,".
Another producer, Nathan Klingherx also weigh in as he stated, “Angelina has made this character uniquely her own. Strong, character-driven thrillers like this are rare.”
He also praised the work of the director and Hollywood's highest-paid actress and called it impressive.
For the unversed, Angelina’s last major theatrical release were in 2024, The Eternals by Marvel and Those Who Wish Me Dead, however, the American actress also worked on the musical drama, Maria in 2024 that didn’t do well.
