Sydney Sweeney’s appearance ignites fiery ‘debate’ on social media

Sydney Sweeney has people fighting over her on the internet yet again, but this time on a smaller scale over a seemingly uncontroversial appearance.

The Anyone But You actress recently showed off her platinum blonde bob, a look which was slammed by internet personality Blakely Thornton and in response fiercely defended by her hairstylist Glen "Coco" Oropeza.

In the reel captioned, “She’s the new Brittany Mahomes…” the online creator linked the look to Sydney’s reported support for the Republican party.

Blakely targeted the Cristy star’s team, saying "They're doing this s--- on purpose. Why else would you go on a late-night talk show looking like Effie Trinket's lost niece? The stiffest wig this side of the Mississippi unless you want to get read for filth.”

The internet creator was referring to her look for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and apparently caught the attention of Glen, who wrote and then deleted his comments.

"Stiff where? You're doing a lot ... Take a breath, diva. You can keep trying to spin a narrative, but we all know you just need click bait cuz your content is TIRED… Imagine caring this much about a hairstyle you didn't create and a woman who doesn't know you exist. Goodnight," he seemingly fired back.

Blakely then called Glen a sycophant, after the latter had also clarified that the hair was not a wig, after all of which the argument finally died down.
