Emily Blunt turns heads at Paris photocall as sci-fi epic countdown begins

Emily Blunt has been stealing the spotlight once again at a glamorous photocall in Paris on Tuesday.

The 43-year-old actress kicked off the global promotion of Steven Spielberg’s highly anticipated sci-fi epic Disclosure Day.

Blunt, who has been widely praised for an “incredible” performance in the film, cut a striking figure in an elegant white frilled gown.

Notably, she joined co-stars Colman Domingo and Josh O’Connor ahead of the movie’s UK release on June 12.

In the blockbuster, The Devil Wears Prada actress plays Margaret Fairchild, a Kansas City meteorologist and former journalist who finds herself at the heart of a jaw-dropping government conspiracy that begins to unravel in the most unexpected way. 

Early reactions have already been glowing, with critics hailing her performance as a career highlight alongside a star-studded cast including Colin Firth and Eve Hewson.

One senior entertainment journalist raved on social media that the film is a “dense roller-coaster ride” and possibly Spielberg’s strongest work in two decades.

While others have described A Quiet Place star's role as “an all-time performance” that could even enter awards conversations.

Collider’s Editor-in-Chief went further, calling it a “towering home run,” urging audiences to avoid spoilers and experience the mystery fresh. 

Rotten Tomatoes reviewers have also been swept up in the hype, branding the film “absolutely phenomenal.”

Directed by Spielberg, Disclosure Day marks his 37th feature film and sees him return to his long-standing fascination with UFOs and the unknown. 

The story, based on his original idea and written by David Koepp, follows a world shaken after evidence of extraterrestrial life threatens to break wide open.
