Meghan Markle shot down by Housewives cast as Kate Middleton wins their hearts

Meghan Markle just received a brutal on-air snub, and Princess Kate ended up stealing the spotlight without even being there.

During a new interview with the stars of The Real Housewives of London, the cast was asked which famous face they’d love to see join the show. Nessie Welschinger threw out a bold suggestion: Meghan Markle.

Her castmates’ reaction was a collective: "Oooooo". Things only got harsher from there. Amanda Cronin immediately shut the idea down, saying: "No."

And Juliet Angus didn’t hold back either, adding: "I don't want Meghan Markle on our show."

Nessie quickly pivoted and this time, the reaction was very different. "I think [Princess] Kate would be wonderful," she said.

All of the women instantly agreed. “We all have a soft spot for a royal,” Nessie added.

Karen Loderick-Peace chimed in with praise for the future Queen: "She would surprise people." Juliet echoed the sentiment: "We love Kate."

Despite the shade thrown her way, Meghan had reason to celebrate this week.

She just dropped the Christmas special of her Netflix lifestyle series With Love, Meghan, continuing the format of the first two seasons released earlier this year.

And while Prince Harry didn’t appear in the second series, fans get a surprise cameo from him in the new holiday episode.
