Zara Tindall may be one of the less popular members of the British royal family, but she is proving to be one of the few with a sharp sense of humour, and even perhaps, a lot of wisdom.
The royal opened up about her marriage to husband Mike Tindall during an interview with the Daily Mail at the Beauty Awards, and she gave a hilariously candid response.
Tindall said in order to stay happily married, one must accept that “nothing runs smoothly ever”. She added that an important part is to remember to “have fun.”
"We've been together for 21 years. Nothing runs smoothly ever. You've got to accept that in life. It's a work-in-progress [but] you've got to have fun,” she added.
She also gave a glimpse of their Christmas plans this year, saying the Tindalls will head over to Sandringham to celebrate the holidays with King Charles and other members of the royal family.
The Christmas festivities this year will include the traditional Norfolk gathering, which also features the annual walk to St. Mary Magdalene Church for a morning service, prior to them returning to Sandringham.
The couple met in the Manly Wharf bar in Sydney Australia in 2003, and married in Scotland in 2011.
They are parents to daughters Mia and Lena, and son Lucas. They will celebrate their 15th wedding anniversary next year.
