Bruce Willis's daughter reveals devastating health crisis of her dad

Veteran actor Bruce Willis, who has worked for decades in the industry, is now facing the most difficult time of his life.

The 70-year-old legend’s daughter, Rumer, recently shared the emotional toll on their family as her father faces the devastating effects of frontotemporal dementia (FTD).

The Die Hard star, diagnosed in 2022, doesn’t always recognise the 37-year-old actress when she visits, but she remains "so happy and grateful" to be able to see him.

In an emotional Instagram Stories video, she said: “I’m so grateful that when I go over there, and I give him a hug, whether he recognises me or not, that he can feel the love I’ve given him, and I can feel it back from him. I still see a spark of him.”

She added that she enjoys spending time with Bruce alongside her two-year-old daughter Louetta, feeling the connection despite the challenges of his progressive condition.

The House Bunny actress admitted that answering questions about her father’s health is difficult, explaining: “Anybody with FTD is not doing great… He’s doing OK, in terms of somebody who is dealing with frontotemporal dementia.”

The Sixth Sense star’s wife Emma Heming previously revealed the shock and confusion the family faced upon receiving his diagnosis.

Emma explained how she had to research FTD herself to understand its impact, describing the early years as “so hard” as the disease slowly changes a person’s abilities.
