Katherine Schwarzenegger, who married Chris Pratt in 2019, has revealed the unusual first date that won everyone’s heart.
The 35-year-old author has finally spilled the tea on her very unconventional love story, which began in a place no one could have imagined, a barn.
Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver’s daughter disclosed that she drove the 46-year-old actor all the way to Carpinteria, California, just to introduce him to her horse.
Speaking to Extra, she admitted, “It was definitely a risk to take like a five-hour drive with someone you don’t know.”
Fortunately, the gamble paid off as the quiet road trip “lended itself to a lot of talking and conversation.”
Notably, the couple, who first crossed paths at church, had already caught each other’s eye.
Chris previously laughed about “sneaking glances” at Katherine during service, admitting on The Drew Barrymore Show: “You kind of don’t want to be like, ‘Whoa, who is that?’ at church… but I was like, ‘Who is that? Any way, what am I doing? Come on, I’m broken, help me.’”
Their romance moved at lightning speed, with Guardians of the Galaxy star calling Katherine the “woman of my dreams” and saying it felt like “God hit the fast-forward button.”
For the unversed, the couple shares two daughters, named Lyra Antarctica and Eloise Christina.
Chris Pratt’s ex-wife is Anna Faris. They were married from 2009 to 2018 and share one son, Jack Pratt.
