American actor Vin Diesel has received positive news.
The actor, famous for playing the role of Dominic "Dom" Toretto in the Fast & Furious franchise, was facing sexual battery allegations.
The allegations imposed on the actor were made by a former assistant.
The movie star had always denied the allegations made against him by ex-assistant Asta Jonasson.
Asta claimed that two years ago Vin “forced himself on her”.
As per Asta, the incident took place at a hotel in Atlanta during production of Fast Five in 2010, while the movie was later released in 2011.
Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Daniel M. Crowley had previosuly dismissed 4 out of 10 claims made by Asta.
The remaining 6 were dismissed this week due to lack of jurisdiction.
The 13-page ruling stated “It is undisputed that the alleged sexual assault took place in Atlanta, Georgia.”
Asta’s attorney Matthew Hale told Deadline on wednesday “The Court did not decide anything about the truth of Ms. Asta Jonasson’s allegations.”
He confirmed that Asta intends to appeal.
In 2023, Vin’s lawyer Bryan Freedman denied the allegations saying there was “clear evidence” to refute them.
