Hollywood actress Olivia Munn has revealed she was deeply moved by Catherine, Princess of Wales’ recent comments about life after cancer.
The 45-year-old star, who underwent a double mastectomy following a breast cancer diagnosis, admitted the princess’ candid words perfectly captured what she had struggled to express.
Speaking on the Today show, Olivia said: “It was so great to hear her say it because I wasn’t able to put the words in myself… the first part is hard, but a lot of people don’t talk about how hard the second part is.”
The 43-year-old royal, who herself battled an undisclosed form of cancer, recently shared that the post-treatment phase can be “really, really difficult” and emphasised the challenge of finding a “new normal.”
Olivia admitted hearing Catherine speak so openly about the emotional toll of recovery “made me feel so comforted… I needed someone to articulate that.”
The actress, married to comedian John Mulaney, praised the princess for shedding light on the unseen struggles faced by cancer survivors.
She revealed that it is a “life-changing experience both for the patient and their families,” and one that is rarely fully recognised.
