Arnold Schwarzenegger’s daughter Katherine makes a surprising revelation about her father’s approach to raising children.

The 78-year-old veteran actor's famously strict parenting style is making a comeback, as his eldest child recently admitted she’s now running her own household with the same no-nonsense discipline she grew up with.

The 35-year-old author disclosed on the Cat and Nat Unfiltered podcast that she’s adopted Arnie’s “no excuses” approach when it comes to chores for her daughters Lyla, five, and Eloise, three, and her one-year-old son Ford, whom she shares with husband Chris Pratt.

“My dad had zero patience for anyone skipping chores,” she said, recalling how the Terminator star once dragged her home from a school semi-formal because she hadn’t folded her laundry. 

“At the time I thought it was terrible. Now I’m like… we’re doing the same thing.”

Despite the tough love, Katherine says life with Pratt is sweeter than ever as they embrace the chaos of raising young children. 

“We do a really good job communicating,” she said. “It’s something that was important from the beginning, especially as life gets crazier.”

Katherine, who is also step-mum to Chris’s 13-year-old son Jack from his marriage to Anna Faris, says the pair make a strong parenting team. 

Apart from this, she has remained active with a range of creative and family-focused projects. 

Most recently, she announced her new children’s book Kat and Brandy, set to be released in November 2025, inspired by her childhood pony and centred on themes of courage and emotional healing.

Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger were together for about nine months before he proposed. 

They began dating in mid-2018, quickly grew close, and their relationship moved smoothly and naturally toward engagement by early 2019.
