Ariana Grande has broken her silence after being ambushed at the recent premier of her upcoming movie Wicked: For Good.
The actress was walking the red carpet accompanied by her co-stars, Cynthia Erivo, Jeff Goldblum and Michelle Yeoh when she was jumped on by a person from the crowd.
Cynthia, who plays Elphaba in the movie, hopped on to hug Ariana and comfort her after she was left disturbed.
The pop star took to Instagram after the incident to share pictures from the night.
The Side By Side singer posed in her glittering pink Balenciaga gown for pictures she posted on the social media platform.
The post was captioned “thank you, Singapore ♡ we love you.”
The person was first revealed as Instagram user “pyjamamann” who has a history of jumping on celebrities in public.
Now, the individual, who has been identified as Johnson Wen, is facing brutal consequences of his actions.
Johnson has been charged in a Singapore court for being a public nuisance.
The man is said to be Australian, who has done the same in the past with other celebrities.
He later uploaded a post later from the premier boasting about the incident writing “@arianagrande @wickedmovie Dear Ariana Grande Thank You for letting me Jump on the Yellow Carpet with You”.
