Ariana Grande’s ambusher has been charges in court.
The actress was attending the premier of her upcoming movie Wicked: For Good when the incident happened.
The singer was accompanied by her co-stars, Cynthia Erivo, Jeff Goldblum and Michelle Yeoh when she was jumped on by a person from the crowd.
The person, who has been identified as Johnson Wen, has been charged in court.
He was first revealed as Instagram user “pyjamamann” who has a history of jumping on celebrities in public.
The man is said to be Australian, who has done the same in the past with other celebrities.
Johnson has been charged in a Singapore court for being a public nuisance.
He will pay a fine of up to S$2000 ($1,540) if found guilty.
The person also uploaded a post later from the premier boasting about the incident writing “@arianagrande @wickedmovie Dear Ariana Grande Thank You for letting me Jump on the Yellow Carpet with You”.
The incident caused major chaos as many eyewitnesses recalled the pop star being visibly disturbed from the jumpscare.
Cynthia, who plays Elphaba in the movie, hopped on to hug Ariana and comfort her after she was left disturbed.
