Olivia Munn reveals how she was ‘comforted’ by Kate Middleton

American actress Olivia Munn has opened up about the comments made by Kate Middleton.

The actress, whose real name is Lisa Olivia Munn, recounted the comments Kate made about cancer as both have struggled with the cancer battle.

Kate was diagnosed woth an undisclosed form of cancer in 2024 and descrived her phase of treatment as a time when “You put on a sort of brave face, stoicism through treatment.”

While making an appearance on Today show, Olivia told the host Jenna Bush Hager what that meant for her.

“It was so great to hear her say it because I wasn't able to put the words in myself, and I've been talking so much about breast cancer”, Olivia said.

Olivia was diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer in 2024 which she explained as “very aggressive, fast-moving”.

Speaking of her journey, the actress said that while people talk about the first part being hard, they do not know how difficult the second part is.

“It really made me feel so comforted that someone in her position was talking about it, because I needed to hear that. I needed someone to articulate that.”, she commented.

The Your Friends & Neighbors star had to undergo five surgeries, including a double mastectomy in May 2023.
