Glen Powell fulfills hosting dream on SNL tonight

Glen Powell’s hosting dream is finally coming true on Saturday Night Live tonight.

A few days ago, at the New York City premiere of his new film, The Running Man, Powell shared his excitement with PEOPLE about finally hosting SNL.

"I’m so excited," Powell said. "Hosting SNL has been a thing I’ve wanted to do my entire life."

The Top Gun: Maverick star explained that the creation of the episode was “surreal,” adding that, "It's a really wonderful moment when your childhood dreams get to come true."

Powell recalled that he’s been “waiting to be on that stage for as long as” he can remember. On the Saturday, November 15 episode of SNL, the Golden Globe–winning actor hosts with Olivia Dean serving as the musical guest.

The episode, which will be the sixth of the late-night comedy sketch series' season 51, will mark the actor's hosting debut, as well as the singer's first time on SNL.

Powell previously made a cameo appearance on SNL when his Anyone But You co-star Sydney Sweeney hosted in March 2024.
