Taylor Swift, who recently made headlines with her 12th studio album and her engagement to Travis Kelce, is back in the spotlight, this time for a handwritten letter she sent to the late Liam Payne.
The note, written in December 2017 before her Jingle Bell Ball performance in London, shows the 35-year-old pop superstar cheering on Liam’s solo single Bedroom Floor.
“Liam, long time no see! I’m so excited for you. You’re crushing it out there. I’m obsessed with Bedroom Floor. It’s so cool to see you from afar, I’m always cheering you on. Good luck tonight!” she wrote.
Reportedly, the letter came in a decorated envelope, complete with tiny stars and sealed with a wax “T,” marked “Nashville, Tennessee” on the back.
According to the sources, the late One Direction singer gave it to a close friend, making it a rare collector’s item.
Bidding will open at Omega Auctions next month, with estimates suggesting it could sell for up to $13,000.
The auction is especially poignant as fans remember Liam, who tragically died last year at the age of 31 after falling from a hotel balcony in Argentina.
His sister, Ruth Gibbins, recently shared her heartbreak, saying she has been “paralysed” by grief and haunted by recurring nightmares about his last moments.
