Pete Davidson’s career is inseparable from his iconic Saturday Night Live sketches and hosting gigs, and the actor has opened up about a possibility of returning to the beloved show.
The Bupkis actor hasn’t appeared on the sketch comedy show for years now, but he isn’t denying the possibility of returning, only on one person’s call.
In an interview with People magazine, The Rookie actor stated, "I'd do anything for Lorne," adding, "He jump-started everything. So I'd do anything for Lorne, and he knows that,” referring to the SNL creator and executive producer’s call for Pete’s comeback.
"I had a great time hosting last time, and anytime you get that call, it's an honor and a privilege, It's always relevant, it's a hot show. People look forward to it, and the cast is great,” the comedian added.
Pete last hosted SNL in 2023, after leaving the show as a cast member on season 47, in 2022 after sticking around for eight seasons.
The King of Staten Island star, who is a soon-to-be parent with girlfriend Elsie Hewitt, does not appear to have any regrets on leaving the popular show and has been vocal about how happy he is in his career currently.
Pete Davidson has been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, and also Crohn's disease. The comedian has also checked into rehab for post-traumatic stress disorder.
