Pete Davidson, best known as a former cast member of Saturday Night Live (SNL), has found a new and unconventional way to keep up with the world.
The 31-year-old comedian revealed he stays updated on current events by chatting with Amazon’s Alexa+, rather than using social media or reading the news on his phone.
While speaking to People, he said, “I don’t have social media and I don’t like reading news on my phone.”
“So I’ll just ask Alexa, like, ‘Hey, is there anything big happening right now that I need to know? Or what’s the weather?’”
The upgraded Alexa+, which uses generative AI to sound more conversational and personal, has become his go-to news buddy.
“It’s just an Alexa on steroids,” Pete joked.
The King of Staten Island star also confessed he’s grown out of his childhood fascination with futuristic tech.
Once obsessed with hoverboards after watching Back to the Future, he now calls the idea of flying cars “a f****** nightmare.”
Away from gadgets, Pete has been candid about the downside of fame.
After years of high-profile relationships with stars like Kim Kardashian and Ariana Grande, he admitted the spotlight on his love life was “traumatic.”
“It got to a point where my career was just my personal life,” he said.
Pete Davidson is currently dating model and actress Elsie Hewitt, and the couple have announced that they are expecting their first child together.
The pair was first linked earlier this year after being spotted together on multiple outings in New York City and Los Angeles.
Elsie, who has worked as a model and appeared in several TV projects, is known for her laid-back style and low-profile approach to fame.
Their romance appears to be more private compared to Pete’s previous relationships.
