'SNL' star Jimmy Fowlie details dark twist in sister’s missing case

Jimmy Fowlie has broken his silence on a tragic family development, revealing his sister’s death after she was reported missing earlier this year.

The Groundlings alum took to Instagram in a heartfelt post, sharing that his sister, Christina Lynn Downer, is “no longer alive.”

He penned, “Our prayers for her to be found safely have transformed into prayers for the truth to be revealed and for those responsible to be held accountable."

He also pointed to disturbing aspects of the case, claiming her phone was allegedly used to confuse others and fabricate a misleading account.

“The individuals in possession of her phone used it to hide the fact she was gone, to ask for money, and to create a false narrative that she was going ‘off the grid,’” he said.

“I am sharing this because I believe that whoever is responsible is hoping to erase her in every way possible. I want to amplify her story in the only way I know how.”

He also called on public who may know something about her death to speak up, expressing that what matters most to him is that people keep sharing her story with others.

Along with the IG post, he wrote, "Thank you for all your continued support during this terrible time. I’m gonna take a step back from social media due to the intense overwhelming feelings..."

For the unversed, Fowlie joined SNL in 2022 and is known for co-writing the viral Domingo sketches featuring Marcello Hernandez.
