Michael Jackson’s fame was revived by his nephew Jaafar Jackson, reigniting several debates about the “King of Pop.”
After the 29-year-old earned rave reviews for his performance, the movie brought his famous Neverland Ranch back in spotlight.
According to many, the Bad crooner allegedly sexually harassed children in his Neverland Ranch.
One of the X users slammed the new project, writing: “If [Jeffrey] Epstein could sing and dance like MJ, we’d be flocking to his biopic, too.”
Another netizen made a similar remark about Jeffrey not being “super talented singer. He would be loved all around the world too.”
Meanwhile, admirers continue to defend the star years after his death was announced.
A fan slammed the rumours about his sexual misconduct, insisting that he and the late offender cannot be compared as “there is literally no evidence that happened and the ‘victims’ were caught liying.”
Some of the alleged victims have stepped forward and were featured in documentary Leaving Neverland, including Wade Robson and James Safechuck.
Dan Reed, the director of the documentary, shared critical reviews of the new biopic as he insisted that the Smooth Criminal crooner is “portrayed as an ‘asexual plastic action doll.’”
Although he did approve the superstar’s childhood, Dan slammed Jaafar for giving “very wooden” performance.”
