Hollywood heartthrob Tom Cruise has continued a sweet tradition with Dakota Fanning, sending the actress a pair of shoes every year to mark her birthday.

The 31-year-old actress made a surprising revelation during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Brittany Snow, who was promoting her new Peacock series All Her Fault.

Host Andy Cohen asked Fanning if Cruise still sends her shoes each February, and she confirmed: “Yes, he does. Really nice shoes, yes.” 

Snow pressed for details, asking if they were sneakers or heels, to which Man on Fire actress simply replied, “They’re nice shoes.” 

She added with a laugh that the Mission Impossible star has adapted to changes in her shoe size over the years, showing the actor’s thoughtfulness hasn’t waned since their first collaboration.

For the unversed, Fanning and Cruise famously played a father-daughter duo in Steven Spielberg’s 2005 blockbuster War of the Worlds, and their off-screen bond has clearly endured.

It’s not just shoes, the Vicious actress previously revealed that The Mummy lead gave her first-ever mobile phone, a Motorola Razr, for her 11th birthday, setting the stage for a lifelong gifting tradition.

“I loved having it. I felt so cool,” she told Harper’s Bazaar in April 2024, reflecting on the gesture. 

She added that the 63-year-old superstar has always sent gifts each year, making birthdays extra special.
