Prince William receives praise from Tom Cruise

Prince William is in Brazil for his three-day trip for his Earthshot awards and the UN conference for climate change.

The Prince of Wales has championed the environmental cause to save the planet and works with organisations to save wildlife.

Hollywood star Tom Cruise expressed his admiration for the future king’s noble work through a video message in Brazil.

The Mission Impossible star appeared in the Earthshot awards video in Rio de Janeiro.

The actor can be seen congratulating the evening’s winners and finalists.

“Good evening Rio, my dear friend your royal highness…I’m sorry I couldn’t be there in person to celebrate with you all but I wanted to take a moment to congratulate tonight’s winners and to congratulate every finalist, and thank you for all the great work you’re doing”, Tom said in a pre-recorded message.

Another Hollywood star to show support for the prince’s venture was Leonardo DiCaprio who is also a known activist in the climate change movement.

The Earthshot Prize was awarded by the Prince of Wales in 2020 to fund creative solutions that can help repair the planet.

Every year, five winners receive grants to expand their projects to deal with environmental changes.
