The YOU famed actor revealed his approach to raising kids with his wife, Domino Kirke, during a podcast episode of Bustle's One Nightstand.
The Stepfather star is a real-life stepdad to his wife's elder son, Cassius Riley, from her previous partner and musician, Morgan O'Kane and also shares three sons of his own with Domino Kirke.
Penn shared how his five-year-old son learns in a “hybrid homeschooly vibe” as both parents preferred a play-centric childhood for their kids.
When asked about his reason behind homeschooling his sons, the Easy A actor said, “We don't need to be teaching these kids as much as we try to teach.”
The 39-year-old actor believes children should not have to go through rigorous learning systems during their childhood.
“You sometimes hear parents in Park Slope, Brooklyn, talk about their children in the park, and it's just like, God bless 'em all, seriously, I know we're all trying our best, but the neuroses and the anxiety,” Penn said, expressing his worry for kids and their parents.
Moreover, the actor blamed modern-day parents for not allowing children to stay like children and having no idea how to handle them.
