Nelly Furtado, who is known for her versatility as a singer dropped a bombshell on her fans soon after she playfully brushed off the hate comments about her.
The 45-year-old has been getting hate for some time but she is always seen preaching the body positivity and self-love.
Nelly also received enormous number of praises and compliments from all over the world as she recently flaunted her curvy body on the stage of annual Menchester pride festival.
The Maneater hit maker took to social media on October 24 and revealed that she won’t be performing live anymore and that she quits.
This comes after the Grammy winning artist received extreme criticism and body shaming.
Although the crooner did not mention it, her fans are speculation that hatred from netizens might be the reason for her to call it quits.
Her Instagram post featured a picture of her in a pink dress before her first performance and another picture of her, on the stage in a black body suit during the most recent festival.
In her caption, she wrote how grateful she is of her fans and how proud they have made, she also wrote that she will forever be identified as a songwriter but she will not be continuing music as it is time for her to discover other creative and personal endeavors.
It is to be noted that Nelly is mother of three who shares with husband, Demacio Castellon and recently had her third child in 2017 after which she has gained a little wait.
