Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande battle for major title on streaming platform

Taylor Swift, who recently released her The Life Of A Showgirl album, and Ariana Grande are seemingly competing against one another for a big milestone.

After the 35-year-old singer recently faced criticism for "cringe" lyrics on new album, Taylor’s song are being streamed by every music lover.

Ariana, who released a deluxe version of Eternal Sunshine, has tied with the 14-time Grammy winner to become the female artist with songs that surpassed 1 billion streams.

However, the Bang Bang hitmaker has around 88 million streams on Spotify, indicating that the Lover crooner is in the lead for the time being.

It is speculated that the projection might soon result in a tie between the two.

On the other hand, a netizen on X speculated that the Positions crooner would not be able to reach the numbers as “Taylor’s entire discography… has weaponised nostalgia and fan loyalty.”

Another fan pointed out that the two musicians “are basically running a quiet monopoly on heartbreak economics.”

According to an admirer, the Love Story singer has “ 5,6 songs coming to cross 1B which will give her a strong lead.”

The newly engaged pop icon is reportedly working on music videos of The Life Of A Showgirl while balancing her fiancé’s games of the football season.

On the other hand, the Disney star is gearing up for the release of her upcoming movie Wicked: For Good, which also stars Cynthia Erivo, Jonathan Bailey and Colman Domingo.

The project is expected to hit the theatres on November 21, 2025.
