Taylor Swift, who recently made headlines with her 12th studio album, is once again taking center stage as she achieves yet another major milestone.
The 35-year-old pop superstar might soon be adding another glittering trophy to her wish list, having officially been nominated for induction into the prestigious Songwriters Hall of Fame.
The 2026 ballot, revealed on Thursday, October 23, sees Swift rubbing shoulders with music legends including LL Cool J, Pink, David Byrne, Sarah McLachlan, and KISS icons Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley.
This marks the songstress’s first-ever nomination, and it comes exactly 20 years after her debut single Tim McGraw hit airwaves in June 2006.
Only three songwriters from each category will be inducted at the star-studded New York City ceremony in 2026.
If chosen, the Eras Tour hitmaker would make history as the first artist to win both the Hall’s Hal David Starlight Award and full membership.
For those unfamiliar, she previously received the prestigious honour in 2010, recognising her early brilliance as a young songwriter.
Notably, it’s been a record-breaking year for the singer.
Her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, has sold over 4 million units, and she’s now the proud owner of her entire music catalogue after reclaiming the master rights to her first six albums.
Moreover, the Bad Blood singer recently got engaged to the love of her life, NFL star Travis Kelce, after a whirlwind romance that has captivated fans worldwide.
The couple, who began dating in 2023, reportedly took their relationship to the next level with a romantic proposal earlier this year.
While a wedding date has not been officially announced, sources suggest the pair are already planning an intimate ceremony, with insiders hinting that fans might see the nuptials take place sometime in 2026.
