Shakira, also known as the Queen of Latin Music, treated her fans with a remix of her hit song Hips Don’t Lie on a special occasion.
The track, from her seventh studio album Oral Fixation, Vol. 2, celebrated its 20th anniversary since the album’s release in 2005.
For the milestone, the 48-year-old Colombian singer teamed up with English artist Ed Sheeran, who recently announced his new Loop Tour, and 23-year-old singer Beéle.
The collaboration featured in Shakira’s Spotify Anniversaries series and has been and has been described as a “historic collaboration.”
Ed and the Waka Waka singer have previously collaborated on the song Zoo for Disney’s animated sequel to Zootopia.
The new version of Hips Don’t Lie, which originally featured Haitian rapper Wyclef Jean, was performed live on October 22 by the three artists and released on Spotify.
Fans went wild and are still in shock, struggling to process the news of their favourite artists coming together.
Moreover, followers of the Colombian singers are expressing pride, as both Shakira and Beéle hail from the same hometown.
For those unfamiliar, the song was originally not part of Shakira’s album and was later released in 2026 after she convinced her label it would be a huge hit.
