Rihanna faces major blow amid costly business loss

Rihanna, who has recently stepped into motherhood once again, has faced a rare financial setback. 

The 37-year-old Barbadian superstar reportedly lost a staggering $36 million following the collapse of her luxury fashion venture with LVMH.

For those unfamiliar, the Diamonds singer teamed up with the French luxury powerhouse in 2019 to launch Fenty, a high-end fashion label registered under the name Project Loud France, a nod to her hit 2010 album Loud. 

Rihanna reportedly invested nearly €30 million herself, matched by LVMH.

However, the brand was quietly shut down in 2021, just two years later, as both sides decided to “refocus” on her thriving beauty and lingerie empires. 

Newly uncovered accounts from the British branch of the company, Denim UK Holdings, confirm the massive loss.

The Daily Mail reported that the label “flopped,” with the pandemic playing a key role. 

Travel restrictions meant the hands-on designer couldn’t visit her Paris atelier or oversee production in Italy. 

The line also made headlines for its steep pricing, from a $1,000 padded denim jacket to an $810 corseted shirtdress, placing it far above her more accessible brands.

The nine-time Grammy winner continues to dominate music, fashion, and beauty.

Rihanna has three children with her partner A$AP Rocky. 

The names of her first two children have not been publicly disclosed, as the couple has chosen to keep them private. 

Her third child, however, is Rocki Irish Mayers, who was born on September 13, 2025.
