Selena Gomez wanted her wedding day to be private

Selena Gomez preferred to keep her life private, and that’s exactly what she expected for her Sept. 27 wedding to music producer Benny Blanco.

On the Oct. 21 episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show, host Jennifer Hudson brought up Gomez’s wedding photos, praising and asking about her wedding dress.

“I didn’t want anyone to get photos of my wedding unless it was from me,” the Wizards of Waverly Place alum said, “[because] I keep my life as private as I can.”

After making her point, Gomez went on to describe her wedding dress, specifically noting that the Ralph Lauren dress was her favorite one.

“This was my favorite dress,” the American Idol alum added when the photo came up. “It is gorgeous.”

Benny was the first to give fans a glimpse of Selena’s favorite look from the night, posting a photo shortly after the wedding that showed the Only Murders in the Building star snuggled up to him on a white couch in her stunning gown.

He captioned the September 28 post, “I married a real-life Disney princess.”
