Oscar-winning actor Al Pacino is stepping back into his Godfather attire as he begins filming the new action thriller Father Joe.
On Tuesday, October 21, the actor was spotted on set in Paris for the first time, transformed into his character as a powerful mob boss.
Pacino, widely recognized for his role as Michael Corleone in the three Godfather films, appears to be reviving his iconic gangster persona once more.
The legendary actor donned a three-piece beige suit paired with a camel-toned overcoat, dramatically trimmed with a large fur collar.
The look was completed with a crisp white shirt, teal tie, and tan leather brogues polished to perfection.
Barthélémy Grossmann is set to direct the film, which will also star Kiefer Sutherland as Father Joe alongside Pacino.
The upcoming action thriller, set in 1990s Manhattan, follows Father Joe, a man of faith who launches a brutal war against the city’s criminal underworld.
Ever Anderson, 17, known for her roles in Peter Pan & Wendy and Black Widow, will portray a young woman torn between danger and redemption under Father Joe’s guidance.
Speaking about the project, Sutherland said, “I’ve been a fan of [producer] Luc Besson since Subway. As a director and writer, he has a unique ability to blend drama and action without compromising either. I’m thrilled to collaborate with him on Father Joe and with director Barthélémy Grossmann, I can’t wait to get started.”
