Selena Gomez hits back at Hailey Bieber with powerful message

Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber have consistently been pitted against each other, with the latter often getting the short end of the stick.

In a recent interview the Rhode founder revealed that she feels annoyed about being compared to others.

The businesswoman added that she does not feel competitive with people she isn’t inspired by, remarks which were immediately assumed to be digs at the Rare beauty founder.

Since the comment had gained significant traction, the Only Murders in the Building actress took to her Instagram to address it directly.

It seems that the 33-year-old was perhaps unaware that the model’s team had clarified that her statement was about other skincare brands and no particular person.

Selena wrote in a quickly-deleted story, ““Just leave the girl alone. She can say whatever she wants. Doesn't affect my my life whatsoever."

"It's just about relevance not intelligence. Be kind. All brands inspire me. There is room for everyone. And hopefully we can all stop," she continued.

This is not the first time the two have been compared to each other, or a rumoured feud between them has been escalated by tabloids.

The internet has consistently had people who believe Justin Bieber should have ended up with the Who Says singer, from his relationship to the 28-year-old until now. 

Hailey and Selena’s words and actions are consistently picked apart, scrutinised and connected with each other, to push the narrative that they dislike each other without much proof.
