Joe Manganiello and Caitlin O'Connor got engaged after nearly two years of dating.
On Friday, October 17, the duo shared separate Instagram posts announcing their engagement, both captioned “June 24th, 2025,” with matching ring emojis.
The couple also included a sweet photo of themselves with their chihuahua, Bubbles.
A day later, on Thursday, October 18, Joe publicly referred to O'Connor as his fiancée for the first time during his speech at the San Diego Film Festival, TMZ reported.
Following the announcement, a source told PEOPLE that Manganiello has been “doing great” because his girlfriend-turned-fiancée has been “good for him.”
“They’re very happy,” the insider shared. “He was devastated and felt like a failure after he separated from Sofía [Vergara]. He never expected that he would get a divorce. He was very hard on himself.”
The source added that Joe had “planned on just focusing on work, then he met Caitlin and quickly fell in love. He’s grateful for another chance. He’s a great guy.”
Manganiello and O’Connor reportedly met in December 2022 at a small after-party for the HBO series Winning Time. Their connection was instant, and they began dating shortly after, keeping things low-key yet steady.
