Nicole Kidman refuses to look back after divorce from Keith Urban

Nicole Kidman is said to be throwing herself into “family and work” after her dramatic split from husband Keith Urban. 

The 58-year-old Oscar-winning actress reportedly filed for divorce on September 30, ending their 19-year marriage and citing irreconcilable differences.

Sources told People the star is now “surrounded by the two things that matter most, her daughters and her career,” as she settles back in Nashville following a trip to Europe. 

“She isn’t someone who dwells on regrets,” an insider shared. 

“She believes everything happens for a reason.”

Nicole, who shares daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14, has requested to be their primary residential parent. 

Despite the heartbreak, she’s focusing on upcoming projects including Practical Magic 2, Big Little Lies season three, and Scarpetta.

A family source said the actress was “stressed” about the news going public but has remained calm: “Now that it’s out, she’s focused on what’s ahead and her girls.”

Another insider revealed she “fought to save the marriage” but is “moving forward with grace and strength.”

Most recently, the Moulin Rouge! actress marked the 30th anniversary of Gus Van Sant’s dark comedy To Die For.

Nicole Kidman was previously married to Tom Cruise, whom she met in 1989 on the set of Days of Thunder. 

The two fell in love quickly and married on December 24, 1990, becoming one of Hollywood’s most glamorous power couples of the 1990s. 

During their marriage, they adopted two children, Isabella Jane and Connor Anthony.

Their relationship appeared strong for over a decade, but in 2001, Tom filed for divorce.
