Justin Hawkins has denied trying to spark a feud with Yungblud after his fiery comments about the singer’s MTV VMAs tribute to the late Ozzy Osbourne caused an online storm.

The Darkness frontman, had slammed the 28-year-old rocker’s performance, claiming Yungblud had “positioned himself as the heir to Ozzy’s legacy” despite having “nothing to do with the really important stuff.”

But in a new YouTube video titled Yungblud And The Cost of Having An Opinion, Hawkins insisted he wasn’t trying to cause drama.

“There’s nothing feudy about it,” he said.

“None of that was intended to incite a feud. I think Yungblud is a dangerous artist — not the sort of bear you’d go poking — but it’s fair to be skeptical when someone uses real-time pitch correction in a live rock performance.”

He added, “If the future of rock requires autotune, then rock is pretty f*****, isn’t it?”

Yungblud, whose real name is Dominic Harrison, previously fired back at his critics, branding them “bitter and jealous” for questioning his heartfelt tribute.

Speaking on Jack Osbourne’s Trying Not to Die podcast, he said, “All I was trying to do was my best for your old man. They’re just inserting themselves into the conversation for relevancy.”

Jack Osbourne defended the I Think I’m Okay singer, insisting, “Dom meant something to my dad, and my dad meant something to Dom. People talking didn’t f****** know.”
