Yungblud claps back at Bill Maher’s take on Taylor Swift’s music
Yungblud, whose real name is Dominic Harrison, has jumped to Taylor Swift’s defence after US talk show host Bill Maher admitted he’ll “never like” her music.
The 28-year-old rocker, known for his rebellious edge, stood up for Swift during a chat on Maher’s Club Random podcast and he didn’t hold back.
“I f****** love Taylor Swift,” he declared, cutting in as Maher confessed he could never be a fan of her songs.
The 69-year-old comedian had praised the Bad Blood singer’s personality after seeing her on fiancé Travis Kelce’s New Heights podcast, saying she seemed “genuine, funny, and cool to hang out with,” but added, “I just don’t get the music, and I never will.”
The Lowlife crooner wasn’t having it. Sharing his emotional connection to the Eras Tour hitmaker early records, he said, “That first album and Red — my sisters loved that. So anytime it comes on, it takes me back to being in my mum’s car with them. I actually f****** love it.”
Cutting Maher off mid-sentence, the Loner hitmaker added, “Lads in the pub are like, ‘Taylor Swift? I don’t f*** with it.’ I like f****** Taylor Swift.”
The Religulous actor laughed it off, saying, “Good, I’m glad. Not everybody has to like everything.”
Who is Yungblud's partner?
Yungblud is currently in a relationship with Jesse Jo Stark, an American singer and fashion designer.
Stark, born in 1991, is the daughter of Chrome Hearts founders Richard and Laurie Lynn Stark and is known for her dark, vintage-inspired music style.
They have been together since around 2021 and often appear together at public events and on social media.
