Did Prince William, Kate Middleton, and King Charles just troll Prince Harry?

Royal watchers think the Royal Family just delivered a perfectly subtle, and hilarious, clapback to Prince Harry.

This week, senior royals including King Charles, Prince William, Princess Kate, and the Duchess of Gloucester all appeared at separate events dressed in varying shades of grey. What could have been an innocent colour choice quickly set the internet ablaze.

Fans were quick to point out that “grey suits” might not be a random pick. Many believe it’s a cheeky reference to Harry’s infamous “men in grey suits” comment, which he used to criticise royal aides he claims meddled in his relationship with his father, the King.

“All senior royals in grey. Cough cough! This is the shade of the century,” one fan wrote on X. 

Another added, “Oh well played, Duchess of Gloucester, grey suits galore today.”
