American pop icon Taylor Swift has taken over the global music discourse once again.

The singer dropped her twelfth studio album, The Life of a Showgirl on Friday.

The 12-track album was full of upbeat pop songs and one track became the center of attention for a particular reason.

The album’s seventh song, Actually Romantic, is speculated to be a diss at English singer Charli XCX.

The 35-year-old sings, “I heard you call me ‘Boring Barbie’ when the coke’s got you brave,” which is reportedly her response to the brat singer.

Another lyric include Taylor’s disapproval of Charli’s friendship with her ex Matty Healy, who is Charli’s husband’s bandmate.

“High-fived my ex and then said you’re glad he ghosted me”, Taylor sings.

The song is being believed to be Taylor’s response to Charli’s song Sympathy Is A Knife.

The pop star described the song herself saying it is a song “about realising that someone else has kind of had a one-sided, adversarial relationship with you that you didn’t know about”.

While Charli has not publicly responded to the reports, she did defend Taylor at a show last year.
