Taylor Swift has turned her brand-new album The Life of a Showgirl into a glittering tribute to her fiancé, NFL star Travis Kelce.
The 35-year-old pop queen fills the record with lyrical nods to the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, from sweet inside jokes to bold predictions of their future together.
On opening track The Fate of Ophelia, Swift recalls her 2023 Independence Day party with Selena Gomez and the Haim sisters before crooning, “Swore my loyalty to me, myself and I / Right before you lit my sky up.”
Moreover, she even drops Kelce’s signature phrase, “keep it 100.”
The romance continues on Opalite, a sparkling reference to his October birthstone, while Eldest Daughter, her deeply personal Track five, reflects on finding the kind of love she never thought she’d accept.
The Eras Tour hitmaker sings about dropping her disbelief in marriage after meeting him.
Fans are buzzing over the album’s raciest number, Wood, in which she purrs, “His love was the key to open my thighs,” before teasing, “Don’t need to catch the bouquet… a hard rock is on the way.”
Many believe it was her sly way of predicting the couple’s August engagement.
With other tracks like Honey and Wi$h Li$t painting visions of marriage, kids and domestic bliss, it’s clear Swift’s latest era is written straight from the heart.
