Sean “Diddy” Combs appears to have turned over a new leaf, since his final letter to the judge presiding over the case before his sentencing is unlike anything else.
The Bad Boy Records founder submitted the plea for a lighter sentencing on Thursday, October 2 to Judge Arun Subramanian.
In the four-page letter, the Mo Money Mo Problems singer apologises "for all of the hurt and pain that I have caused,” hinting that his time served in prison has made him self-reflect and reform.
Diddy writes that he is taking full accountability for his wrongdoings and is “sincerely sorry” for his actions.
The former talent director even apologised to his victims, the anonymous “Jane” and the prosecution’s star witness Cassie Ventura.
It was their testimonies (and subtantial evidence) which lead the jury to convict the 55-year-old on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.
"I literally lost my mind. I was dead wrong for putting my hands on the woman that I loved. I'm sorry for that and always will be. My domestic violence will always be a heavy burden that I will have to forever carry," Diddy said.
Notably, the father-of-seven asked the court to have mercy on him so that he can reunite with his mother, Janice Combs, and the rest of his family that loves, misses and needs him.
Diddy’s sentencing date is October 3rd and he could face a maximum of twenty years and a minimum of months on the charges he has been found guilty for.
