Dolly Parton, who recently lost her husband Carl Dean, made sure to have a “direct” conversation with her fans about the unfortunate circumstances.
After the recent turn of events, the 79-year-old was forced to call off her Las Vegas concerts that were expected on six different dates.
While the legend faced a health scare which resulted in the cancellation, Dolly turned to her Instagram to reveal plans for her future.
The Jolene hitmaker announced that doctors have advised her to “have a few procedures,” citing “some health challenges.”
However, she insisted that “it’s not the usual trip to see [her] plastic surgeon,” which is why the singer won’t be able to “rehearse and put together a show” that she envisioned.
The Grammy also shut down any rumours about her “quittin’ the business because God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet.”
According to Dolly, this health issue is a “sign to slow down right now” and to prepare for “big adventures” ahead.
Meanwhile, fans rushed to the comment section of the update to express their concerns as one user gushed: “Currently googling ‘how to donate my organs to Dolly Parton.’”
Another hoped that she “get[s] well soon,” advising the icon to “take the time you need to rest up & get to the place you need to be in order to put on the best show possible.”
