Dolly Parton sparks buzz over health scare

Country music icon Dolly Parton has sparked concern after cancelling her appearance.

The singer was due to make an appearance at her amusement park Dollywood however, she was forced to cancel it.

The 79-year-old was warned by her doctors who advised the singer not to travel due to a health issue.

She had to cancel because of kidney stones.

Dolly made an appearance through a pre-recorded message in which she explained why she had to miss the launch of one of the theme park's latest attractions.

“I know. I'm here, you're there and you're wondering why that is. Well, I had a little problem. I had a kidney stone, which was causing me a lot of problems”, she said in the video.

She revealed that it was an infection and the doctors advised her not to travel and give it a few days to get better.

The year has been devastating for the music icon who recently lost her husband in March after being married for almost 60 years.

Earlier this year, Dolly also lost her brother David.
