Pete Davidson embraces dad life ahead of first baby with Elsie Hewitt

Saturday Night Live comedian Pete Davidson is welcoming fatherhood with open arms as he awaits his first baby with girlfriend Elsie Hewitt.

A source revealed to PEOPLE that the couple is “so excited about becoming parents" and preparing to welcome their newborn in their happy and healthy state.

"Pete’s been preparing in every way he can,” the insider said, “from helping get the nursery ready to making sure Elsie feels supported every step of the way, and it’s clear how much he’s looking forward to fatherhood."

The source further added that Davidson is "really embracing" this next chapter.

"He talks about how this is the most meaningful chapter of his life yet, and he’s really embracing it," the source said, while adding that Hewitt is "loving this stage of pregnancy.”

"Elsie is glowing and loving this stage of pregnancy, and it’s brought the two of them even closer," the insider stated. "They’re savoring the little moments, from picking out baby clothes to planning for what life will look like once the baby arrives."

The source added, "They can’t wait to welcome their child and start this next chapter together as a family."

Davidson and model Hewitt have been together since at least March 2025, though their relationship may have started even earlier.

On Wednesday, July 16, the couple confirmed their pregnancy news via Instagram.
