Prince William quietly slipped away to Balmoral Castle this week for a rare few days alone with his father, King Charles.
On Tuesday, the Prince of Wales, 43, was spotted landing at Aberdeen Airport after an official visit to Southport with Princess Kate.
From there, he was whisked to Balmoral, where the King, 76, is staying until the end of September.
While the visit was not formally announced, royal insiders told The Telegraph that William’s annual solo trip north has become tradition since Charles became King in 2022.
The retreat reportedly gives father and son a chance to speak privately about royal duties, future plans, and family matters without the distraction of public life.
It is William’s second visit to Balmoral in recent months. At the end of August, he joined Kate and their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, for the traditional royal summer holiday on the estate.
This week’s trip, however, was just for William and his father.
